This week’s spotlight is Jaylyn Fankhouser. She is a 15-year-old freshman at Moscow High School, home of the Fighting Wildcats. She is the daughter of Ron and Jayme Fankhouser. She has one sister and one brother. Their names are Carly and Jody. Jaylyn has two horses and two dogs. Her horses names are Guess and Nick. Edie and Little Guy are the names of her two dogs.
In Jaylyn’s free time, she likes to ride her horses and go and have fun with her friends if she can. She participates in basketball and sometimes volleyball. She also loves to rodeo.
Jaylyn’s favorite subject is science because she gets to do experiments, and she learns new things about the human body. Ms. Harvey is Jaylyn’s favorite teacher because she is nice, a good teacher and is really understanding. Jaylyn’s best friends are her mom, her dad, Jasymne Mosley, Ashli Huss, and Madison Hall.
Thanksgiving is Jaylyn’s favorite holiday because her family gets together and that is what she is thankful for. Jaylyn’s favorite season is summer because she loves the heat and hates the cold. Jaylyn’s favorite TV show is The Voice.
When Jaylyn gets older, she either wants to be a teacher, a cop, a singer or a famous rodeo performer. OPSU (Oklahoma Panhandle State University) is the college Jaylyn wants to attend when she graduates because it has a great rodeo team and her dad went there.
Jaylyn says that it depends on what day it is and if she is in a good mood to determine if she likes school. She wants to get a good scholarship and go far in life. Jaylyn likes Moscow because it is a little town and there are not that many people that live in Moscow. This week’s spotlight was over Jaylyn Fankhouser.
