Jennifer Owens is the Director of the Early Childhood Center/ Lead teacher for the Infant/ Toddler Room. When Jennifer attended college, she attended Seward County Community College. When asked why she decided to work at Moscow Schools, she said that they moved to Moscow for her husband’s job; she wanted to work part-time at the daycare so her daughter could play with kids her age. She loved it so much she stayed on and went full-time.
Jennifer is the daughter of Dale and Zelda Merz. Jennifer has two siblings; their names are John and Doug. She was born on April 2. Mrs. Owens is married to Howard. Jennifer and Howard have five children; their names are Ethan, Morganne, Madison, Lydia, and Gwendolyn.
In Jennifer’s free time, she enjoys reading, working on her hobbies, spending time with her family and watching TV and movies. Her hobbies include weaving, knitting, needle tatting, and herb gardening. Jennifer’s favorite TV show is Lethal Weapon. Her favorite song is anything by Garth Brooks or Chris LeDoux. The Fever series by Karen Marie Moning is Jennifer’s favorite book. Her favorite color is purple “because why not?” When asked if what she is doing now is what she has always wanted to while growing up Jennifer replied: No it’s not. I love my job though!”
