Shirley Gayle Davis May is a teacher at Moscow Elementary School. Many people that she has taught know her as Mrs. May. She has five grown children Sheila, Davis, Doug, Sharlene, and Daryl. She has many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She has taught 39 years, two years in Liberal and the rest in Moscow. She graduated high school from Hondo, Texas. She graduated college from West Texas A&M University in Canyon, Texas.. She has loved every minute of teaching in Moscow and every kid. She said she loves the town of Moscow and that small towns are the best. She grew up in Orange, Texas and Tulia, Texas. She likes small towns better than cities because small town people are always there for you through the good times and the hard times. They are faithful. She has been to 15 states and would love to visit them all. She would go to all the states especially Florida. Her granddaughter and great-granddaughter live there. She has been to Canada, Mexico, and Russia. She would go to Switzerland if she could; she would love to see the Alps. She said, “Life is what you make it,” and, so far, she has loved every second that God has given her. Her plans for the summer are to go play with her new great-grandbabies and her adorable one-year-old grandson.
