This week’s teacher spotlight is on the third grade teacher at Moscow Elementary School. Her name is Whitney Hefner. The date that Whitney came into the world was on the third of January. Her favorite birthday memory is when Kansas University won the Orange Bowl. She was born in Garden City, Kansas. She was born to the parents Calvin Quentin and Julie Hefner. She admires her parents because they did their best to raise four kids and made sure they had everything they needed. She also has three siblings. Their names are Nick, Jordan, and Ashley. Whitney’s favorite memory as a child was riding the go-karts with all of her siblings. She loved it because they were all there and spending time together.
If she did not become a teacher, she probably would have done something in the business industry. Her favorite thing about teaching is working with all the kids. She likes watching the kids learn new things. That is what she likes best about her job. When she is not teaching, her favorite things to do in her free time are to relax, read, spend time with all her family and friends, and watch movies. In the summer she also likes to relax and read, but also, she likes to go on trips to the lake. She is a KU fan so her favorite thing to listen to is the Rock Chalk chant! Her most valued possession is her puppy dog.
